Crayfish field : Investment of 600 Million Ariary of the MSP in the South
East region
An outline agreement has been signed between the South East
region and the firm Malagasy Sea food Provider the 4th June 2006 in Farafangana
(South East of Madagascar). According to the responsible of the MSP, the firm
invested 600 millions Ariary (1 ZAR = Ar322.20) to build his factory. The MSP
promised to improve the quality and the quantities of the fishing products,
notably the crawfish, catch in the region. The firm hopes to collect 40 tons per
month. This objective can be achieved with the support of the administration in
the technical supervision of the fishermen, the use of fishing boat and the
introduction of new techniques to replace the net.

Malagasy Road - Conference IV : Objective Achived with 2.700
visitors
This event brings together the key agents of development:
engineers, carriers, consumers, mayors, chief of regions, Members of Parliament,
foreign organizations, responsibles of program working about the road and
transport sector i.e. 7 ministries and 50 private organizations.
The meeting
held in the Palais des Sports from the 6th to the 9th June 2006. The Minister
Rolland Randriamampionona hopes that the persons who took part in the conference
turns to the new technologies. The conference is the starting point of the
reforms about the transport sector. Madagascar counts on the support of the
international partners for this project. To note that the country will be at the
World Conference on Road 2007. For the 2012 outlook, Madagascar will have 5,400
km of asphalted national roads.

Tsimiroro will produce 1.000 Barrels per day
According to
Madagascar Oil, an initial production of 1,000 barrels of heavy oil will be
possible from 2007. This quantity will increase as the extraction goes along its
will bring forward, with an average target of 10,000 barrels in a few years.
Twelve shafts will be exploited to reach this first level of production.
During the five first months, the quantity of extracted heavy oil will be
stocked. The objective is to supply the local market before exporting.
Regarding the financing, about 80 million of dollars are necessary for the
installation of the first equipments. European, Singaporean, and American as
well as African investors expressed their interest for the exploitation through
the stock exchange markets.
This project has already attracted more than 60
millions dollars, and a part of these has been used for the exploration.
